My Best Friend … Furrever!

My Best Friend … Furrever!

How animals are important for Children on the Autism Spectrum

What’s the first thought that comes to your mind when you think of your first pet? Mine is that of my first dog.

Buddy is the first love of my life and one of my best friends! He is still one of the people I talk to, share my intimate moments with, and cry with when something does not go right. He’s my best friend and is always there when I need him and when nobody else was willing to listen to what I have to say. When I was sad, he was always there right next to me, to be the shoulder to cry on. When I was happy and thought of something funny, he was always right there next to me ready to smile and laugh along with me. When something great happened for me,, he was there to celebrate with me. Having a pet is like having a lifelong friend who will never be mad at you and who will always be there when you need him the most.

Mom and dad, having a lifelong friend like a pet, helps kids a lot especially when they have a lot of bad days, so why not let them have one that they will love for forever? Pets truly help children feel that they are not alone!!
