Please meet Miss Ava Cloud!
This precious smile melts our hearts each and every time we see it. Miss Ava is an energetic animal loving 5 year old who attends ABA therapy combined with speech therapy and occupational therapy.
Ava’s mom tells us,
“Ava has grown tremendously within the past month. After starting at PediaPlex, she wants to go anywhere to play with other kids. She use to be so shy and reserved when it came to playing with other kids, but now she wants to go to the playground everyday to play. She is also a lot more talkative and easier to understand. She asks questions, uses descriptions to explain things, and goes out of her way to participate in conversations. She has become more independent. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face when she comes home.” – Katie Cloud
We love hearing all of the amazing progress stories from our parents. The Cloud’s are no different! We asked Ava’s mom, Katie Cloud, how their journey has been here at PediaPlex.
Describe your PediaPlex experience:
“When I first found out Ava had autism, I was so scared and lost as far as what I needed to do next to help her. She was already receiving speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy through her school, but she needed so much more. Ava needed intervention. That is when we were so blessed to find Sonia and Pedia Plex. They have taken my shy girl and created an independent, outgoing girl. The first day we went, everyone was so kind and helpful. That never changed. They had answers to questions that I didn’t even know I had. They knew exactly what Ava needed and the path to take to get her there. Not only have they been experts with her learning process, but they have included me in every step. I talk with the therapists daily which makes me confident and comfortable with the process. The therapists give me a note everyday with her successes and work in progress goals along with meetings to see first-hand what occurs on a daily basis. They also have a progress monitor which helps me see where she is and where she needs to be. I thank God everyday that we found PediaPlex. They have given me hope that my sweet, perfect little girl will be successful in life. What they have done for Ava is nothing short of a miracle.

What do you love most about PediaPlex?
“There is so much to love about PediaPlex. First and foremost, I love the people. Everyone there is truly interested in what is best for my daughter. The other thing I love is their guidance. Sonia and the therapists are so honest and willing to help. There are many times when I will email or call just because I have a concern and they are eager to talk to me and offer any help they can. I love, most of all, that PediaPlex is a family for my daughter. She is always excited to go see her “new school” and she always has a smile on her face when I pick her up in the afternoon.”
